  • Valid and active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or equivalent

  • Proven experience in clinical nursing and patient care

  • Strong communication and IT skills for record-keeping and reporting

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Flexibility and resilience to manage changing needs and priorities

  • Carry out delegated care tasks, including vital signs monitoring, urinalysis, and stoma care

  • Observe and report changes in clients’ physical and emotional well-being to the registered nurse

  • Support with medication prompts as directed (non-administrative)

  • Assist with client transfers and mobility, using safe moving and handling techniques

  • Promote dignity, privacy, and respect in all interactions

  • Respond to client and family questions and refer concerns to senior staff as appropriate



Team Collaboration & Communication

  • Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care

  • Communicate effectively with clients, relatives, and colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation (e.g. care notes, fluid balance charts)

  • Participate in handovers and team meetings

  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and clean care environment

  • Prepare and clean clinical areas, ensuring infection control protocols are followed

  • Report faulty equipment or safety concerns promptly

  • Follow all service and health & safety procedures, including infection control measures
